NASEC was founded to meet the increasing need for specialized expertise in nuclear weapons sustainment and modernization. With major programs underway—including modernization of delivery systems, refurbishment of warheads, and long-term sustainment of the stockpile—government and industry require focused, trusted partners who can advise on strategy, execution, and risk management.

Jon Davis is a career civil servant with over three decades of experience as an engineer/scientist leading Navy nuclear reentry system programs as well as a supervisor in the reentry systems branch at Navy Strategic Systems Programs. As a supervisor, Jon led three units within his portfolio: (1) deployed Navy reentry systems (Mk4 and Mk5); (2) W93/Mk7 technical development; and (3) Future systems development as part of a significant S&T portfolio. In addition to this, Jon also worked extensively with the USAF as an advisor to the Mk21A program, NNSA and the National labs, and the U.K.
Jon is an acquisition professional who controlled sizable budgets in S&T, R&D, WPN, and O&S. He also led the Conventional Prompt Strike program (whose FYDP budget was over $1B) while at the Pentagon where he gained valuable experience briefing senior leaders in the Defense Department as well as preparing for the Deputy’s Management Advisory Group (DMAG).
As a culmination to Jon’s career, he led and delivered the Low-yield reentry system to the USN on time and under budget. For this accomplishment, Jon was awarded the USN Meritorious Service Civilian Award.
